Whats the best way to achieve the best price on a whole heap of 80’s Star Wars Toys?My brother keeps whingeing that he has a whole heap of Star Wars toys and has absolutely no idea what the exact models are or what their value might be and doesn’t want to attempt to sell the whole lot as a job batch in case he gets rid of a ‘gem’ for peanuts. I suggested a collectors guide but he says a) its £50 just for that and b) without the majority of boxes he won’t know what they are to match against the guide. Any suggestions?

auction them, the auction house will go through them all and find out any “gems” if there is any and tell you which is the best way to sell them , think they charge about 17% of the sale price.
think bobo fet is the one everyone wants btw
The last person is right, especially about Boba Fett, though it’s the prototype Boba Fett without the paint job that’s worth the most!
Just put the whole lot on ebay. If you have enough photos, any “gems” will be obvious to all the bidders and the price will go up the same as if the gem was by itself. HOWEVER if you’re talking about played-with old toys, they’re not going to be worth much. CONDITION IS EVERYTHING! Plus, since you’re stuck somewhere that talks pounds as money, you have to worry about massive shipping costs. So it might be better just to donate them to the local orphanage instead.
i lost all my star wars figuers when moving house.
boo hoo
The Star Wars Super Collectors Wish Book is a very good collectors guide with many pictures. It has values for stuff loose out of box, as well as values for items still in the boxes.
